Monitoring Facility Operations Remotely

To ensure the quality of their products and the efficient operation of their facilities, Target Products Operations must view in real time all steps in the processing of materials. A central control room manned by technical operations personnel monitors the entire plant, reviewing the status of the products as they go through processing. If something goes wrong with the process, operations must react quickly and remedy the situation. They must have a constant view of the entire process. Furthermore, if something has gone wrong within the process, they need the ability to review recordings as well.

The Solution

To solve these problems, Jeff Sohy, Technical Operator for the plant, began a search for video surveillance systems. He did extensive research on the internet and had not found a product that suited his needs until he discovered Video Insight. The Video Insight suite of products met all of his requirements. He found that there was nothing better on the market with comparable functionality for a reasonable cost. He loved the intuitive user interface, especially the ability to access the system from anywhere on the internet using a web browser.

The Results

Target Products is thrilled with the Video Insight system. Says Jeff Sohy, "We couldn't run our plant without Video Insight and our cameras." The owner loves the system because he can view his entire plant over the internet. The plant manager can also monitor the plant operations via the internet or a VPN connection.
